Monday - We've Arrived!

Good evening everyone,

We’ve had a fantastic first day on our residential! After leaving school at 9:40am, we travelled by coach to our home for the week—Heatree. We arrived at 11:00am and were warmly welcomed by Wes, who introduced us to the site.

Our adventure began with some fun activities on the grass, followed by an exciting Team Quest challenge. Congratulations to the Orange Team, who triumphed in the rocket competition—Mrs Kendell was especially thrilled with their success!

Later in the afternoon, we settled into our rooms and got to know our new surroundings. Dinner was a big hit, with a choice of creamy mac and cheese or tasty tomato pasta, finished off with a delicious helping of raspberry jelly.

This evening, we headed to the sports barn to burn off some energy before winding down with a few more chapters of our class book, The Boy at the Back of the Class.

Everyone is happy, settled, and looking forward to another action-packed day tomorrow.

Tuesday - Part 1

Apologies for the delay in this but of course, we have been busy having fun! As you can see by the pictures, each of the groups went off for some more activities. Some did rock scrambling, some archery, some low adventure and some mountain biking! Each of these activities came with their own challenges and trials, overcoming many fears and challenges along the way. In the evening, we went for a night walk with our torches, which hopefully you have seen in some pictures as well. We have been incredibly lucky with the weather as we have had mountains of time to play on the field, swings and grass sledges. Until tomorrow...

Wednesday - Halfway already

Good evening from Heatree. It is the halfway mark and less than 48 hours until the children return home. What a day we have had! The other two groups have completed archery, as well as the others taking part in mountain biking and rock scrambling on Hound Tor. In the afternoon, it was competition time! It started with orienteering around the site to gain a time advantage for the second part of the activity. Rafts were built and the race began on the water (hopefully you have seen the videos!) Film night was the Minecraft Movie and some more fun on the field. Sleep well...
