This is my eighth year of teaching, and I have had the pleasure of being a class teacher on several occasions, as well as having the opportunity to undertake supply teaching. I am currently working as a supply teacher, as I welcomed a little boy, Henry at the end of 2024, so this arrangement works well for me at the moment.
In addition to teaching, I am a keen dancer and have been dancing since the age of five. I completed dance examinations in ballet, tap and jazz, achieving Grade 8. As a result of this lifelong passion, I decided to open my own dance business in February this year, providing dance classes for children aged 4 to 11.
My classes are aimed at children who love to dance, have fun and build their confidence. It has certainly been one of the best decisions I have ever made.
I am really excited to be working with the Year 5/6 team at Torre for the next 11 weeks and cannot wait to get stuck in and support the children with their learning.
I have truly loved being part of Torre since joining as a teacher in 2018. I find teaching incredibly rewarding, especially seeing the children grow in confidence and achieve their goals. I’ve had the pleasure of teaching in both KS1 and LKS2 which I’ve really enjoyed. I am currently teaching in UKS2 in Penguins class.
Before joining Torre, I was a ballet teacher for a dance school in Brixham. I taught many age groups from baby ballet right up to adult classes. If I wasn’t teaching ballet, I was dancing myself and spent 12 years dancing. I even have my very own pair of pointe shoes!
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family and going on lots of walks. I also have two children called Evelyn and Arthur.
