Class Teachers: Mrs R Drewett & Mrs L Bigrig
After agreeing to spend a week at Torre, I am now in my fourth year teaching here! This gives an insight into how much I enjoy working with all of the children, families and colleagues associated with the school.
Originally from Bristol, I trained at Exeter University, gaining a 4 year degree in Teaching and Education. I have been teaching and leading differing areas of Primary Education for over 30 years. I absolutely love spending my days in the classroom watching young people grow and flourish into independent thinkers with their own individual personalities.
When not teaching, I love spending time with my husband and 2 daughters, aged 16 and 22.
I have been teaching at Torre ever since I completed my teaching degree at Plymouth University 13 years ago. Previous to completing my PGCE, I worked in a local primary as a teaching assistant and extended school leader for a couple of years. I have always absolutely loved working with children and find the job incredibly rewarding and great fun; children never fail to make you smile!
Outside of school I am a very proud mummy of two beautiful children, Alfie and Evie-Rose, who are currently at primary school. We love spending time together with Mr Bigrig at the beach, walking or with our family and friends. You may also spot us at Plainmoor cheering on our local football team.
