Monday 13th November - 615pm
Good evening from Heatree! Hopefully, you have seen all of your children on the pictures in the link below. We arrived at approximately 11am before having a safety briefing. Following this, we had the opportunity to have a play on the grass before lunch. After lunch, it was time for Team Quest, a team building exercise. The children have been fed with pasta bake this evening and a dessert of apple crumble and custard. We are about to go for a night walk on site, followed by hot chocolate and flapjack. We will update the photos whenever we can and when we have signal. Until tomorrow... Night!
Tuesday 14th November - 415pm
Good afternoon! We have had a slight change in plan to the agenda for today due to the weather. Starting our day, we had our first breakfast, full of cereal, toast, yogurt and fruit. Two of the groups have taken part in archery and the enormous climbing tower, scaling it and abseiling back down. The other two have been involved in low adventure, a course designed to challenge the children to work together, and mountain biking on the 'Blue Dragon'.
This evening, we are being fed chicken pie and a dessert of sticky toffee pudding. I'm not sure who it more excited: the children or adults! Our evening activity is in the roundhouse around the fire pit with some games and singing. All photos are being sent as and when we can again. It will be a little later tomorrow as we are going to be walking on Dartmoor. Enjoy your evenings.
Wednesday 15th November - 400pm
Hello! We have just arrived back at base after a day exploring the depths of Dartmoor. On the moors, we have been rock scrambling over Hound Tor, visiting bogs (with one or two trainers stuck!) and playing a game of 'Camouflage'. There are a few tired bodies now and a bit of rest and recuperation are very much in need this evening. It is time for film night, popcorn and pyjamas! We are over halfway to returning home now and have one more full day jam packed full of adventures. Speak to you tomorrow.
Thursday 16th November - 445pm
Hello from Heatree. Another busy day. A wet one to start but that didn't prevent us from having fun. The day has consisted of the green and blue groups taking part in low adventure and mountain biking, with the blue and green groups in the climbing tower and archery. It is the Heatree quiz and disco tonight, where there are prizes to be won! Hopefully, the adults aren't feeling too competitive! There won't be a message tomorrow but we might be able to upload one or two photos of our adventures in the morning. We will be in contact half an hour before we arrive back at school when you can collect us. Until then, we are off to dance the night away. See you tomorrow!
